amie - Up-dated-loves life n laughter

Hi, Im new to this so tks for taking a look. Got a good life with family( two daughters and a son- and five grandchildren)and friends.
I am single and am looking for a guy to share some time with, to be friends with and more if we gel.
I love to laugh so he must have a rounded and wicked sense of humour.
I really enjoy music ,especially if its live , and dancing (or jumping)to it .
Like many different types - not stuck in a.time warp!
Dancing WITH me is optional though! lol .
Been taking Salsa lessons , want to try Dirty Dancing as in the film, its so hot and looks sooo.... cool!! :)
Ambling in the countryside does it for me too, along with beachcombing.
Am interested in most aspects of natural history- (geology- collect rocks n stuff )(Cosmology-We are all made up of Stars -as the Moby song goes (Prehistory-we are finding out new stuff at a great rate ) etc etc.
Love my books , when I've the time, fiction - theory -fact.
Some favourite authors- Richard Dawkins, Isaac Asimov, Robert Silverberg, Pauol Anderson, Frank Herbert , Ursula K Leguine, Leon Uris---'The Haj', Zola ---'Germinal' ,James Herriot, D H Lawrence, Virginia Woolfe, Charlotte Bronte.
Am a fun person but have my serious side.
I don't pay either lip service or respect the present system of things/setup worldwide and would find it almost impossible to feel intimate in any real sense with an 'establishment' type of guy.
I would also only consider spending personal time with a man who is openminded and intelligent with an inquiring nature.
Consideration, compassion and respect for self and others is also high on my list of qualities in both friends and lovers.
Property? Monetary wealth? Definately not a requirement......although solvent--- I have neither!.
Oh ........ and a Sensitive and Passionate nature would be more than welcome. tks
P.s Described myself as- slender -cos lost about a stone in weight (not deliberately----stress related) since headline pic was taken and not because i think men have poor eyesight! lol.
P.ps. Due to managing to de-stress somewhat since I set up my profile I've put some weight back on my poor old bones!!
Not quite comatose yet though... ROFL ;)
