grannyjen - Country loving retired lady

I am recently widowed, I have 2 adult children and 3 grandchildren who I dote on. I love to go on drives in the country and stop off at a country pub for a meal. I also enjoy nights in with a glass of red wine. I have had several holidays abroad but am quite happy now visiting interesting places in this country. We have a beautiful country, maybe spoiled by too much rain but you have to take the rough with the smooth,we wouldn't like constant sunshine and the resulting brown landscape, give me green anytime. I enjoy quizzes and am addicted to crosswords, how sad!! Thirty years of my working life was spent as a laboratory technician and I retired as a claims handler for an insurance company. After leaving school I worked in different ofices and was even a poice cadet for a short time. Happy days! I would like to meet somebody who has the same interests as myself but also has his own interests and hobbies.
