I am 62 and I want to try it all again, the whole works. My big thing is hillwalking but I have done all the group walking, up one side and down the other and a half pint in the pub. What I really like to do is explore tracks and roads and river valleys and lonely deserted farmsteads and curious rock formations and odd neolithic sites that you can suddenly find. That's no fun on your own and I want someone to share it all with. After a few hours in the hills, back to my old farmhouse for a fine meal (I'll cook) and then maybe a second bottle of wine in front of the fire with Bocelli on the CD player while we tell each other the whole story of our life. And out of those shared and swapped experiences can come the tiny spark that we can fan into a steady flame. There isn't a major mountain in Ireland that I don't know but it is not a competitive sport, the whole point is to take it all in slowly. And then there are the walled villages high in the hills of Tuscany, the Dolomites or Provence which can only be experienced while holding another's hand. It's worth the risk again.
