I just want to be fulfilling to someone. I am very tactile ,affectionate and loving ,not tall ,dark, handsome, just a nice guy who wants a friend and see how it evolves from there. I love silly jokes and one liners and get a lot of joy from inducing laughter in others. If there is someone who wants to cut to the chase and meet for a chat great instead of endless messaging which is okay to begin with, but a chat on the phone is great and a meet. I don't bite and will be as nervous as you are.
I have very varied taste in music, anything from Mozart and Puccni opera to Trad Jazz, 70s 80s pop .love the outdoors. I have a strong Northern accent as I hail from the Northumberland and I have a great Northern sense of humour which is essentially me. I love walking in the county and connecting with nature when I find the time, Gardening, and Cycling. I would describe myself has having gained a few extra pounds over the years but in perfectly good health and full of activity and zest for living with plenty of tread left in my tyres.Would like to find a soul mate because I feel incomplete without a supporting and loving role. I have short beard. I don't smoke, and drink occasionally . I would like to get a social life going with a lady friend who would like to befriend me and whatever else follows but friends is great. I am 57 years old and no prince charming but even if I say it myself a nice guy, supportive and understanding. Most importantly I am honest open book and have read of and heard people being messed around on POF. Not for me. I haven't got any skeletons in the cupboard or spiders in my attic, Just a normal grounded person who loves the simple things in life because life is complicated enough sometimes. I'm a tolerant live and let live person. I have BA degree in Geography and Environmental Science and I love chatting about almost any subjects under the sun apart from politics ,football and Soaps. More importantly I take an interest in other people and their present and past lives. Love University Challenge on the telly.
I would obviously like to meet for a chat in a public place out of respect and consideration for the lady and where she will comfortable . I also have to add that I am relatively new online dating so this is a new experience for me so I will be a little shy on a first meeting. A lady colleague on mine when I was a Support Worker said I make Perry Como look like a nervous break down because she never saw me agitated or stressed in stressful situations so as you can gather I'm quite quiet natured guy.
A walk in the park or coffee in a cafe would be nice to get things started or leave the preference to my potential date. I love good chat I can learn so much from people chatting, so somewhere without to much background noise will be nice. A nice walk in the park or sea front is always a good starting point, or a cosy pub or cafe is the weather is bad.
I'm just an ordinary working class guy but a nice one.Interesting too (I hope)Just need a chance to show it.
Life member the 'National Trust' (Admit Two) maybe a good meeting place ,National Trust Garden or Property. Member of Birdham Wildlife Hospital and of the R.S.P.B.

Was home secretary for two days till they discovered the typing error.Former World Heavyweight Origmi Champion, Was a good all round athelete, now I'm just all round.
Hobbies in include: D.I.Y. Brain surgery ,Indoor Hang Gliding, Manure Sculpturing, Walking up to people on he street and saying hello if they want to listen, Cutting up bits of string which I get through at a rate of knots and last but not least cleaning my pen knife.

Just my silly side but there is a serious one too.
